What is an Administrative Consultant?

An Administrative Consultant is a temporary worker who provides administrative and personal support for individuals or small businesses. We work remotely and use technology to deliver services to clients globally. As an Administrative Consultant business, we give clients ongoing, continuous administrative support. When clients engage with us, we establish a lasting and collaborative relationship.

Over time, we gain deep knowledge and understanding of the client’s needs, goals, business inner workings, and priorities. We are NOT an employee, so it is important to note that clients cannot legally control or dictate the schedule or the specific details of how, when, or where the services are performed. Also, clients are responsible for managing their own business and their own business’s success or failure.

Who works with an administrator?

Any busy business owner, individual, or company who would like a more balanced life and more free time to move their business forward, such as consultants (marketing, sales, management, corporate, etc.), coaches, professional speakers, CPAs, attorneys, writers, photographers, therapists, financial planners, stock brokers, realtors, and entrepreneurs – The list is limitless!

How do we communicate with you?

We communicate via e-mail, phone, fax, online instant messaging, and so forth.

What are your fees?

The fees for our services vary. We can charge a flat rate fee, a monthly fee for ongoing services, or charge by the hour.

Who else in your organization would have access to my information?

Yes, it is possible to engage with other independent administrative consultants, and if we do, you may occasionally receive communications from them. They are familiar with client files, and everyone who works with GOS must sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement, regardless of whether they are employees or independent professionals. They are aware of this requirement.

Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

Absolutely not; our agreement involves a minimum commitment of two months from each party. We will require that time to get up to speed, complete the preliminary onboarding procedures, and become acquainted with you.
After the first commitment of two months, we will be working on a month-to-month basis rather than committing to a set period of time. If you do not want our connection to continue, you are free to terminate it at any time and for any reason, as long as you give us prior notice that is at least 30 days in advance of the date on which it is to be terminated. This gives both of us sufficient warning, which enables us to make suitable plans and makes the transition into the next phase much smoother.

Would I be your employer and you my employee?

Definitely NOT. Your company does not employ us as employees. As administrative professionals, we set our own hours, and you must remember that we have other clients in addition to you. This means we can’t be available to you around the clock, five days a week. We won’t collaborate on projects on a daily basis or for as many hours as an employee working full-time or even part-time would.

We maintain long-term relationships with each of our customers. During that time, we work with them to ensure they have the administrative support they need to grow their businesses. Our relationship is more like that of a business consultant and a client than an employer and an employee.
